Well church, I am truly thrilled about this weekend. What a joy it has been to see God at work among us. Last week we had such a full and encouraging Sunday, followed by the Ladies’ Garden Party. Laurie, Ashley, and Felisha put in many hours to make the evening happen, and it was fantastic. My prayer is that every lady of Grace Church left refreshed and encouraged by the time together, the food, and especially by the reminder that God’s mercies are new every morning (Lam. 3:23). I am so thankful for how the ladies worked together to create something with a Christ-centered focus.

This Sunday we have the privilege of hosting a special guest family serving in South Asia with the IMB. Because of security reasons, we cannot share all the details publicly, but I can tell you this: God is at work in the nations, and this family is giving their lives so that others may know Christ.

Many of you will remember our Grace for the Nations missions offering last December, which supported gospel work in Egypt, South Asia, and here at home through Stowe Mission and Christmas on the Square. This Sunday will be a chance to hear first-hand how those gifts are bearing fruit and how we can continue to pray, give, go, and send. My prayer is that one day, God might even raise up someone from Grace Church to join the harvest fields of the nations.

So, come early on Sunday, introduce yourself, and be ready to hear what God is doing around the world.

I’m also excited for our Membership Class this weekend. We have a great group of folks considering joining our church family. Church membership is simply a way to say, “I am taking responsibility for you, and I want you to take responsibility for me, as together we follow Christ.” That’s what it means to commit to a local church family. If you haven’t told me you’re planning to attend, please let me know!

Finally, don’t forget about Summer Nights with Grace, this Sunday evening at our home. These evenings are one of the highlights of our summer: kids running around, good food shared, and plenty of time to connect with one another. We’ve scheduled them for 5pm so that families can still get home at a reasonable hour before the week begins. If you’ve not made it out yet, I cannot encourage you enough, come this Sunday!

Grace Church, I love being your pastor, and I’m thankful for all that God is doing among us. Let’s keep pressing on in Christ together.Pastor Jordan
