We’re back and feeling rested and refreshed! Church, thank you for praying for us!

Our time away along 30A on the Gulf side of Florida was just what we needed. We soaked up the sunshine, the kids had an absolute blast riding waves and swimming in the pool, and we were reminded of the necessity of rest.

While we were there, we got to spend Sunday morning with Redeemer 30A Church in Santa Rosa Beach. They’re a church plant that’s now ten years old, meeting in a Boys and Girls Club gym. Hard to imagine that after a decade, they’re still setting up and tearing down each week, but it was amazing to see how God has grown them. Around 300 people gathered for worship, and in many ways, it felt a lot like Grace Church: priority of the Word, solid songs, and expository preaching.

What really stood out to us was their intergenerational feel, teens, young adults, families, and older saints all worshiping together. Their kids stayed in for the worship time, and it worked beautifully, even with such a large gathering. Before, during, and after the service, multiple families came up to meet us, ask about our story, and welcome us in. That kind of intentionality says a lot about a church, and it comes from leadership and members that model hospitality. It was such a gift to step away, rest, and see the Lord at work in another faithful congregation. It made us all the more thankful to come home to the work God is doing here at Grace.

Just a quick reminder about Operation Christmas Child; we’re so thankful for Jeff and Karen Cavendish and their leadership in this. We completely "sold out" of boxes in the first week (amazing!), and they’ve already picked up more. If you need help or have questions, be sure to catch the Cavendishes this Sunday. All boxes are due back by Sunday, November 16.

Also, thank you to everyone who helped last week, those who greeted guests, put signs out, prayed, and stepped up to lead while we were away. Laurie and I are so grateful for the way our church family continues to serve one another so well.

Grateful to be back and excited for what’s ahead.

For the Church,

Pastor Jordan
